Doves are not generally loud bids, though you will hear some cooing from your pair. If you are used to a louder, parrot-type bird, you will be pleased at the relative lack of noise from your doves. These birds are great for an older person or an apartment dweller that wants to own birds, but may not want the noise that accompanies them.

They emit a few short loud coos ...

Bonding with a female dove is considerably more complicated than bonding with a male dove. But you may find females to be quieter and somewhat more affectionate than male doves. As mentioned above, once a female is bonded she will lay eggs and to maintain her health she needs to incubate each clutch of eggs for the full term (14 days in the case of diamond doves) plus a number of additional ...

The female has a tiny coo and not full or loud like the male although I've observed her try to mount the male. The male usually flies off at that point. I've got a nest in the cage and she sits in it alot.

For the fog test, hold the diamond or ring between two fingers and breath on it with a puff of air. A light fog will form on the diamond because of the moisture and heat in your breath. If the fog dissipates right away, the diamond is real. If it takes several seconds for the fog to disperse, it is likely a fake diamond.
