Larimar comes from the Dominican Republic which is why it's not seen often in Europe. It can be found there in local 'retail-able' quanities but not in large enough quanities to make it widely available elsewhere. There is a bright green pectolite there also which has the same wonderful features but only the blue is called 'Larimar'.
